There is beauty in the victories of love.
There is yet more beauty in the failings of love because if a heart attempted to love sincerely; those who have suceeded must encourage and those who are still in the cold shadows of cynicism are compelled to hold their tongues in the face of the audacity to believe in more.
There's even beauty in the breakdown
It's funny, isn't it - that you can keep loving for so long even when you seem to be getting nothing back except hurt and confusion? Having loved like that for so long, I really struggle with believing in the possibility of anything working out. I seem to be using cynicism as a self defence mechanism...I think though, what all of it taught me is that you can choose to still love even though you're hurting - real love is much more than a feeling; sometimes it's making the choice to forgive and carry on.
